Child Advocacy Centers in Nebraska

Part Two: Child Welfare System
Section B. Nebraska DHHS - Division of Children and Family Services

three silblings smilingIn Nebraska, each county or contiguous group of counties is assigned to a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. The purpose of these centers is to provide a child-focused response to support the physical, emotional and psychological needs of children and youth who are victims of physical and sexual abuse. Working with law enforcement and other child welfare agencies, these centers offer a safe, child-friendly environment for forensic interviews and medical evaluations of the child victim and ongoing support for the child or youth and non-offending family. A listing of Nebraska’s Child Advocacy Centers, along with contact information and the counties each serves is provided below.
